Korea medical tourism services can make the non-medical parts of an international treatment journey easier to manage. KOMD coordinates confirmed appointments with transport, accommodation, interpretation and follow-up communication.
What Is Included in KOMD’s Medical Travel Service?
Every proposal is customized, so inclusions are listed in writing rather than assumed to be all-inclusive.
- Travel requirements and schedule review
- Clinic consultation and appointment coordination
- Airport, hotel and clinic transportation
- Interpretation and itinerary communication
- Accommodation and companion support
- Recovery logistics and follow-up message coordination
Before You Travel
The clinic should review the information it needs, explain whether an in-person consultation is required and provide a proposed plan and quote. Do not book non-refundable travel until the essential medical and scheduling details are confirmed.
Arrival, Transport and Accommodation
KOMD can coordinate pickup and private transport based on flight details and confirmed bookings. Travel times and vehicle availability vary. Hotel selection can consider distance, accessibility, privacy and companion needs.
Treatment-Day Interpretation and Support
Interpretation supports communication but does not replace the treating clinician’s duty to explain the procedure and obtain informed consent. Patients should have time to ask questions and receive written aftercare information.
Recovery and Aftercare Coordination
Non-emergency follow-up messages, transport and schedule changes can be coordinated with the clinic. Medical monitoring, urgent assessment and treatment remain the responsibility of licensed healthcare providers.
What Is Not Included?
Unless specifically confirmed, a concierge proposal does not include guaranteed treatment eligibility, guaranteed results, emergency medical care, medical insurance coverage or unrestricted 24-hour clinical monitoring.
Information Needed for a Written Proposal
To reduce avoidable changes, share the intended travel dates, preferred city, treatment goals, relevant medical history, current medicines, allergies, companion needs and required interpretation language through a private consultation channel. The treating clinic decides which medical records or photographs are necessary and whether an in-person assessment is required.
How to Verify a Korean Medical-Tourism Provider
Patients can check Korea’s registered foreign-patient facilitator and medical-provider system through Medical Korea. Registration supports due diligence, but it does not guarantee treatment suitability or results. KOMD coordinates non-medical logistics and communication; the licensed clinic remains responsible for diagnosis, consent and clinical care.
